Hotel Iidaya

A good location (15 min. on foot to the castle), nice, helping staff (they ran outside to lead us to the parking place and helped to fix the mistake in my booking). Plenty of amenities, robes, slippers, some tea and a boiler in the room. It is not new, but it is nice looking, comfortable and extremely well kept. Very(!) good option for a small price! Breakfast is also offered for a decent price (partly self-service).

The hotel is right next to the station and it offers bikes you can rent for free. The room was simple but clean, and I think quite typical for Japanese business hotels. Good enough if you want to comfortably explore Matsumoto and surroundings on a budget.

Location. Walking distance to JR station and airport bus service. Also within a 20 minute walk to castle. A special mention to Front desk for their help with particularly to Yamanoto for her cheerful assistance. Also to the kitchen staff for their lovely breakfasts.

The location was incredible, it was so close to the station, literally less than 5min walk away. There were also many food options available less than 5min away. Matsumoto was wonderful, I wanted to stay longer.

The location is excellent. Walking distance from/to JR Matsumoto station and 7-eleven downstairs, as well as many restaurants. The breakfast is very nice and definitely recommended! Since we were catching an early train, the staff kindly started our breakfast at 6:45 (normally it's 7:00-9:30).
